This course is designed to study the divine record of the early Church history. The methods and actions of the early Church are applied to present day Church growth and building.

This course traces the history of the church from its founding by Christ to the present time. It details what the true “local” New Testament churches believe in both faith and practice. It gives the distinctives that prove the right of an assembly to call itself a true church. It covers the founding, continuity, history, mission, and scriptural methods of a New Testament church.

A study of biblical teaching pertaining to the basic doctrines of God’s Word. The intent of the course is not only to enable a student to know precisely what we believe as Baptists but also to skillfully back it with God’s Word.

This course is designed to make the Bible come alive to the student of the Scriptures. It will help them to visualize and understand more of the surroundings, happenings, ways of life, and customs of Bible stories and characters.

This course is intended to be practical teaching on how to study God’s Word, different skills & methods in study, and how to get the most out of God’s Word that it may be applied to daily living, sermon & lesson preparation, & Christian growth.

Bus Ministry – Basics
An instructional an practical course on working in the Bus Ministry, covering such aspects as relationships with the other workers and bus children, visitation, the program on the bus, planning promotions, having big days, etc.

Children’s Ministries in the Church
An instructional and practical course in working with children of all ages in the many varied ministries of the church. The course will include skills of teaching, discipline principles, and many practical helps.

Christian Womanhood I
A personal development course for Christian ladies covering: attitudes and relationships toward others, inner and outer beauty, the “Five Sins of Christian Women”, health and nutrition, propriety, choosing a proper mate, and other vital subjects.

Christian Womanhood II
This course is designed to further develop the Christian lady in her personal and spiritual life. This study includes decorating and entertaining on a budget and basic meal preparation. (Each lady will compile a recipe card file and create weekly menu plans.) Further instruction is given regarding relationships, hospitality, and other feminine Christian graces.

Church Education
This course will provide an exciting and instructive look into the many varied aspects of church work and to see the heart of the Preacher and the ministry. Current and different aspects of the ministry will be covered each semester. (Men only)

Communication in Marriage
A study which defines what actually constitutes true communication and how essential it is in marriage; why husbands and wives have trouble communicating spiritually, emotionally, intellectually, and physically; and how to recognize potential danger times in communication. The course also includes communication projects for husbands and wives.

English, Noncredit
A noncredit elementary English course. Those students who do not do well on the Freshman English placement test will be required to take this course for no credit before they may take English Grammar & Composition I.

English Grammar & Composition I
(Students who do not pass an English placement test will be required to take a basic non credit English course first, before taking this course.) A study of English focusing mainly on grammar, usage, sentence structure, punctuation, and basic writing skills.

This will be an expositional study of the book emphasizing the preeminence of Christ and the encouragement of the believer to a life of faith and spiritual maturity.

This class will be a comprehensive study for the adult lady which will include: Bible memorization; crafts; entertaining on a budget; decorating on a budget; nutritious, low cost, meal preparation; and much more!

How to Rear Infants
This course is a study of rearing children, age birth through pre¬school. It will include Bible principles on discipline, schedule, character, obedience, developing proper attitudes, developing proper learning skills, age group characteristics, health care, and other areas. It will be of great use to mothers and ladies dealing with infants.

Leadership I
This course covers basic scriptural principles of becoming spiritually mature and leading others in the ministry. It is a practical and applicable course that deals with all areas whether it be in the home, on the job, on the bus, or in full time ministry.

This course deals with principles of leadership in the ministry in dealing with people. The issues of God given authority, accountability, the relationships of leadership, the responsibility of both following and leading, and other vital issues will be addressed.

This course will be a study of the books of the Bible from Hosea through Malachi. It will include an analysis of each book, its message, and its prophetic content.
